Who is an Active Member?
Active members are responsible for helping with content creation and activity organization within HUDIT. It can be designing social media posts, assisting the content creation team, writing blog posts for our website, helping with the planning and organizing social events, getting in touch with brands/cooperations/establishments for a possible collabration that benefits HUDIT. You might be a good graphic designer, a video editor, someone who’s really good at communicating with people, or maybe just someone who’s eager to help and learn things in a fun environment. Whoever you are, we need you!
HUDIT works on a voluntary basis. It is full of eager students who are trying to help create better social and academic environments, oppurtunities, and learning habitats for all linguistics enthusiasts. You can help us do all these and more, while improving your social, communicative, creative or productive skills at the same time. Also, if you consider becoming a board member of HUDIT, don’t forget that active membership is the first step, as all of our board members are voted in from our active members.
We would like to remind that active member elections are made by the head of each unit according to the needs of the unit. Not every unit might be open to apply, and there is a chance that you might not be selected.
Upon the request from our members, we have added more active membership units for this year. Here are all of our active membership units that you can apply:
Social Media and Graphic Design Unit

Members in this unit help with the content we create for our social media accounts, like our Instagram post series such as “Nedir”, “Peki”, and “Kimdir”. However, there is no limit for our social media content. It is up to how creative and eager you are!
Video Content Creation Unit:
Managed by: Ahsen Arslan
Video Content Creation unit is responsible for our short-form video series such as “Nereden Geldi?” and other video content. The tasks of this unit are divided into three areas: research and text writing, voice-over, and video shooting and editing.
Podcast Unit:
Managed by: Nuran Orhan
This unit is responsible for producing our podcast series called “Ders Çıkışı Dilbilim”. Topic research, sound recording and editing are the major tasks of the members of this unit.

Website Unit:

Members of this unit are responsible for maintaining our official website “hulinguistics.com”. There are three major tasks that you can take part in: author (you are free to write about any topic regarding linguistics), web developer, and designer.
Academic Activities Unit:

Members in this unit are the backbone of academic activites of HUDIT. This unit is tasked with finding and reaching out to scholars who can make a presentation for us, organizing academic activities among students such as Dilbilim Sohbetleri or reading workshops.
Social Activities Unit:

Any type of social gatherings, activities and events are what this unit is responsible for. Coming up with a fun social activity idea, finding a suitable place to do it and organizing it are the tasks of the members in this unit.
Sponsorship and Collabration Unit
Managed by: Beril Sudem Zobu
This unit is perfect for those networking enthusiast! It’s main job is searching for brands or cooperations and making sponsorship deals for our events. Communication skills are the main requirement for this unit.
